🌳💸 Stops #18 and #19 Tallahassee, Fla and Biloxi, Mississippi
If you are reading this we are on our way to our final stop before we head home. These last few days have been less about enjoying the one night stops and more about wanting to be home in our own bed. I took on a lot doing this trip, it had more stops than last year and the drive times were sometimes 6 hour drive times between stops. We have all become institutionalized.
🌳 Stop #17 was in Tallahassee. This rv park was called Big Oak Rv Park. You guessed it! It had big oaks! Lots of them! They are really proud of one that they say is 300 years old. To be fair, the entire area has really big oak trees. There was nothing really super special about this space, BUT Lanna really came alive on this stop. She literally followed me for a small walk around the RV park. She currently has good days and bad days. I do like to keep her moving though because she tends to want to sleep more. 🎥 The movie I watched here, that says it was filmed here, was the movie Something Wild. I loved this movie at one point, but I am not sure I loved it so much this time. Movies from the 80s have a lot more gratuitous nudity. Like full body shots for no reason, just looking out a window. Things have become so PC you don’t really see that anymore. That is basically what I took away from this. Also Ray Liotta was young AF in this. Melanie Griffith is just so hot in this movie when she has the black wig on. Something changes when she is in her real hair. It is like a fried hair helmet. Bill Pullman has always gotten on my nerves. NOOO Jeff Daniels. I get those two mixed up a lot. What I really like is the song at the end. 👗Lottie Wore What?? It was pretty cold when we woke up in Tallahassee. Lottie has not experienced a lot of colder weather and she was shaking. So we did some layers. I put her in her rainbow onesie from Little Beasts, and then a little orange fleece vest from Softosy. Lanna also was put into a pink argyle sweater that I have had for a while from Sparkpaws.
💸 Stop #18 was Biloxi, Mississippi. We stayed at The Cajun Rv Park and Campgrounds. Biloxi was one of my early stops last year and we stayed at a different spot that was nicer than this one. The internet was non existent, but they make you feel like they are doing something about it. They aren’t. It just doesn’t work. There is only one bathroom and it is gross and far away. Luckily we went to the casino at Beau Rivage for a few hours to get away from this spot. WAIT! First we walked, yes walked, to another casino called Treasure Bay Casino. I sort of have a rule that I do not play at casinos that don’t look like they even have any money. I did win like 30 bucks on a machine that has probably been there since 1975, and hey, it has been a very long time since I was hit with a wall of smoke like that. So we ended up taking an Uber over to Beau Rivage. At least that place looks like it would pay you, but it seems pretty impossible to win. At one point I looked over at Paul playing Willy Wonka, and he was playing that machine like it was a job that wasn’t paying. So we called it quits and headed back. Paul watched a Packer Game and.. well, I watched the Kardashians and fell asleep. 🎥 I tried to watch a movie with Jennifer, but we found out about 30 minutes in that we were watching different movies. I can not believe it took that long because I was talking about how this guy was going to die because he has asthma and he is going to get covid, and she is talking about a guy love bombing a girl and turning into a psycho. So yeah. This also shows how much we actually are paying attention to anything the other is saying. That is something we will have to deal with at a later date, if at all. 👗Lottie Wore What? I put Lottie back into one of her striped shirts from Little Beasts. It is my favorite, I have already linked Little Beasts, and I have a tattoo of Lottie wearing this same shirt. Forever and everrrrrr. I always tell my mom, like, at least you will be able to identify my body.
