ποΈ Stop #6..Virginia Beach, VA
If you are reading this we are now on our way to our 7th stop. This is a very long trek too, and my husband is flying out to meet us. Pretty soon this 25ft RV will have two large men, me, 2 cats, and 3 dogs. You guys are probably thinking.. how gross is it in here with all of those pets and disgusting humans? Well. I packed this entire trip. So all bedding was washed by me, all pillows for the boys were purchased new because gross, also new blankets. For me, I brought the comforts of home. I make sure to pack what is easy to clean and comfortable for me since the dogs sleep with me. Every morning I wake up, sweep the entire RV into the stairwell and vacuum. I change the litter box and then take the trash out. Then I take Lysol wipes and wipe down the floors, the dash, the sinks, and all surfaces. I light a candle, I packed 5, because smell is a huge thing with me. I think this came from being involved with BHV. I am always working on improving smells. I then bleach the toilet, shower, and sinks. The bed is where my dogs sleep too, so I have a lot of layers and keep them nice so they are easy to pull off and wash. I do this every couple of days. I also do not sleep head to toe. I sleep diagonal and give the dogs the space in the back with their beds. There is also a curtain that I can pull shut that gives me privacy to change, shower, and sleep. I also balance a small TV on the counter with the drape over it if I want to watch anything.
North Landing RV Resort and Cottages is where we stayed. This place was a smaller RV park, older folks who are retired, and a lot of little dogs. You will not believe it, but Lanna was running around, she even tried to front on some Japanese Chins. I never see enough Chins. I thought the Chin people would be impressed I have a Pekingese, but they were not. If Beanie had been there, he would have made short work with those two. Anyway, we were on the end which was nice, the park was relatively empty, and they have small events at their pavilion. They were selling hot dogs and hamburgers etc. My brother asked me if I wanted a hamburger. I told him no because I didn’t know where the meat came from, but I would take a hot dog. Also, the big ass coach next to us says BIG AL on the plates and is a million dollars. Who is Big Al? I will never know. Was this place dog friendly? They had a dog park, way in the front and we were in the back, but there was a large patch of grass near us. I think it was good for dogs. I was happy more amenities were closer to us instead of all the way in the front. SO I give this place 4 stars. I feel like the pics online are way better than reality. I give it 5 stars on the number of people who want to talk to you about anything. I think I went through like 5 wars with this one guy and I never even got his name. The sunset was incredible. I have now turned “I look at sunsets” years old. Thank goodness I have awhile to go before I enter the “I look at sunrises” age.
π₯ The movie I watched was… GI JANE. Um what can I say about this movie that has not already been said? A ton of over the top moments. Demi trying so hard to get her Oscar nom but ended up with a Razzie for worst actress. Seems Vigo was nominated for worst accent. I don’t even remember him having an accent. Man this came out in 1997! Hmm. I think I was probably working at The Black Eyed Pea at that time, pretending to go to college. I thought that movie was older than that. I think it is a solid 3 stars. It is entertaining, I stayed mostly engaged, but the acting was so over the top it was distracting.
πLottie Wore What? I let Lottie stay in her pjs. They have little bears and are organic cotton. These came from SunnyPawshop. I like her in these little onesies and they are really durable. They stretch so they are easy to get on and off, and they don’t shrink much if at all which is shocking. This is the “little teddy sleep suit.”
Until tomorrow βπ»Vanessa
