🐷 Stop #7.. East Berlin, PA

If you are reading this, we are on our way to our next stop somewhere in the middle of NY state. Until then, we stopped in East Berlin and stayed at this park called Thousand Trails Gettysburg Farm. This was a fun little stop. Different. Last year we came to this same area, and stayed at this place that had a bunch of bunnies running around. Some guy who used to own it had bunnies and now they are all over on this island. That place sort of sucked, besides the bunnies, but this place was kind of cool. It had a large petting farm complete with cows, pigs, turkeys, goats etc. The turkeys were nuts. They have that long red thing (I will google the name) hanging off their nose that we have always seen in pics etc. That thing extends and retracts almost like a sensory worm on its face. It was amazing. I looked it up and it is called a snood. Interestingly enough like.. I don’t think it sounds much different than other long appendages of the male species. This one just happens to hang from their faces. The pigs of course loved me, and the goats. We pushed Lottie and Lanna around in their stroller and I think the smell was enough to keep them busy for a while. This place was not great for dogs. People had a ton of dogs all over, some not leashed, plus all of the animals.. it just made for a weird crowded combo that most dogs would not do well in. I give this a 2 out of 5 stars. I do not think there was any dog park, and the spots were small with little grass. Paul flew in to join us since we were going to the Pequest Family Reunion the next day.

My friend David Fitzpatrick is a pretty well known guy in the AKC world. He has won Westminster two time with different Pekingese. One was named Malakai and one was named Wasabi. He also judged this year’s Westminster Dog Show in NYC. I met him when I brought my dog Beanie home and we have remained in contact and have become friends. Well, every year they have a family reunion, and we try to make a point to go. Beanie has attended one and this time, he did not attend. I am super protective over him and taking him all over in an RV, when I have no idea how he would do, wasn’t something I wanted to do. That and plus…. well….Beanie (like I have mentioned) would have made short order of those pampered Pekingese. He is a very butch boy. So I let him skip a year. He sent Lanna and Lottie by proxy. BUT I did get to meet Beanie’s dad. Ghostbuster. Be warned, he was having a bad hair day, he is 11 now, and Beanie is the most spectacular boy ever, so it is hard to compare. Anyway, now we are back in the RV and heading about two hours north. I have no idea about the RV spot, it is just a pit stop.

🎥 Ok. The movie I picked for this stop is an older Harrison Ford movie with Kelly McGillis called Witness. I really love this movie. It has some action, takes you into Amish country in central PA, and shows off Harrison Ford’s range at a time when he was trying to shake that action hero thing. I give it a solid 4 stars.

👗 Lottie Wore What? Ok. As we are driving more north, things are getting a smidge cooler. Lottie has never worn this little sweater dress before, but it was super soft and snuggly. I like that it was stretchy and didn’t cut up into her little arm pits. It was easy on and easy off. I am not sure where I got this, but probably from one of my usual haunts. I also included Lanna in this bunch of photos because she is matching in a cute heart sweater. I know I got her sweater from Little Beast and it is on sale now and is called The Love Sweater. I’ll link it HERE.

Bye for now ✌🏻Vanessa

I have worked at BHV for over 20 years as the manager, and then during Covid, took the steps to buy it. I have 8 dogs and I love my dogs on a level that I share with our clients. I try to include them in everything I do. ❤️
