π Stop #5.. Emerald Isle, NC
If you are reading this we are on the way to our next location. I am not sure who, if anyone is reading this, but if you are, we have currently never spent more than one night at any stop. It makes for very long days. This stop, luckily, was just a 3 and 1/2 hour trip from our last stop in Myrtle Beach. This was great until I dropped my phone into the air fryer dish that was soaking in the sink. My bed is so close to the sink, that the dish took my phone and the remote. The remote recovered and the phone is still out for discussion. Basically I needed to get a new phone. No big deal, I was up for one. If I was going to change phones, I wasn’t going to just get an older model, I wanted the newest one. I ended up finding an ATT store and they had the 18 pro. I am usually a max phone person, but I went down a bit in size. The camera is amazing though.
Finally we make it to the Emerald Isle RV resort and they had just closed the office. There was a guy in a golf cart that brought over the envelopes for late arrivals and my name was not on either one. I guess I missed booking this stop all together. So with the golf cart guy’s determination and push he told me to call Andrew. “Andrew gets paid salary and he has the computer at home and can log in, don’t let him tell you no.” Ok. Well Andrew helped me, we got the spot closest to the beach. I liked this beach better than the last, but the people at this RV park were of a grumpy generation. I was just happy we had a spot. I think this is the only one I didn’t book that was on the map, but I guess we will soon find out! Their dog accommodations were non existent. People had dogs, but there was no designated area for the dogs. A lot of the “grownups” were actually annoyed by dogs. That is what Tony told me in the laundry room. He has 3 labs. Luckily our spot was the best. It was large and the closest to the beach so we had space.
I give this beach 5 stars for cleanliness and space. I also give it a 5 for the number of entitled people that have lost track with reality by policing everyone who did not have their dog on a leash. Lottie was on a leash, Lanna was not because I had to carry her. I did not get yelled at, but watching two men battle over leashes was annoyingly amusing.
π₯ I couldn’t find a movie filmed where we were, but because I decided to see if an air fryer could make pasta, it became too late anyway. The air fryer CAN make pasta if you are willing to wait an hour and like paste.
πLottie Wore What? She didn’t wear anything today. I let her run wild, chase birds, and let her chocolate hair fly.
****Just a reminder. Sometimes there may be a mistake because I am not writing with AI..clearly, but also I am typing on a dinette on our way to the next location. Being in the back of this thing is so shaky my hands are hitting random buttons sometimes. So sorrrryyyyy
