🏰 Stop #3, St Augustine, Fla

If you are reading this I am probably on my way to Cracker Barrel (to see a client whose dog Ari was a BHV regular) and then off to Myrtle Beach. Another long RV drive. Today was a long RV ride. These first few stops are absolutely brutal. Glad I am not driving:) Welcome to St Augustine!

We were about 3 hours out and I decided to try and get Lanna to go to sleep. Mooshu was very anxious and he kept almost sitting on her. So I picked her up, wrapped her like a burrito, and put her in the bed. I, of course, had to lie down just to make sure she was comfy😉, when my brother starts yelling back at me asking me what the smell was. I stood up, and Mooshu had absolutely exploded. Like.. I have my PHD in poop, so I know…this was an AE for sure. ASS EXPLOSION. Most of it got on one of the rugs and then he dripped all the way up to the front seat. I had that poop picked up quickly and everything sanitized in 2.2 seconds. Now though, I was up against his tummy being upset. I have my poop pills, I wrapped one in turkey, and just prayed.

We finally get to the RV park, Ocean Grove RV Resort and we had a lot on our plate. First the dog area. It was so so far from our site I didn’t use it. Sort of one thing that could be improved on are all around facilities at this property. Where we were we were far from everything. Our site had a lot of grass which was great until I looked down and had burrs all over my pants. Second, our parents were already here, and it was my mom’s birthday. I had some steaks, so my dad threw them on the grill, and overcooked them as always. He was like, leaving them on the grill and asking my mom to go inside and get him a knife so he could cut into them. They were already stiff. No give. I have dealt with this my whole life. Pity me.

Today was laundry day. I enjoyed it. It was actually a good walk from our spot, but I didn’t care. I packed up the girls, threw the laundry in with them, and we went to the laundry room. I actually sat there and waited. I am not sure if I have ever done that actually. I remember when I lived in this apartment off Far West, instead of going to wash my clothes at the laundry mat, I just kept buying new underwear. Just a little trick for everyone. That was last year. Kidding?

Finally, because I SHOULD be visiting the local history and flavor of St. Augustine, I took the dogs to see some of the sites. As you may or may not know, St Augustine is famous for this Spanish fort, Ponce De Leon, and the Fountain of Youth. They even let you drink from it. My mom did, but I don’t think it works when you drink it at 80. You should probably start earlier. Anyway, the dogs and I took some sips. SOOO good. The fort was amazzzzing too. I really suggest whenever you travel to try and really immerse yourself in the local attractions. Trust me. The water was delicious.

🎥 The movie tonight is so bad. Like.. I doubt anyone has even heard of it. It is a Rob Lowe flick called Illegally Yours. I think I remember this video box, yes video. It was probably a movie I wasn’t allowed to see, and I wish it had stayed that way.

👗 Lottie Wore What? Today I went back to one of her very first Little Beast shirt. She was two pounds and just a little nugget when I bought this for her. What is awesome is that she can still wear it. I have a lot of these, but this one is my favorite.

Until tomorrow! ✌🏻Vanessa

I have worked at BHV for over 20 years as the manager, and then during Covid, took the steps to buy it. I have 8 dogs and I love my dogs on a level that I share with our clients. I try to include them in everything I do. ❤️
