🚙 Stop #0~Rv Pickup/Pack up in Austin
We are now on the eve of our adventure. I want to say ahead of time, I am not a travel blogger or pro by any means. I am just a small business owner exploring different states, while taking the BHV family, and some of my own family (human, canine, and feline) along for the ride. I want to share the RV parks/resorts (if RV “resorts” are possible) we visit. Are they pet friendly? Is there space to be free with your dog or is it weird? Like all of you, I LOVE MY DOGS. Also I want to share what dog items I absolutely love with you guys. I am traveling with a 16 year old dog (Lanna) and an 8 month old puppy (Lottie). Both with very different needs, but also very similar. In the middle, we have Mooshu who is around 5 now. He is the security. All of them require different amenities of their own on our travels, so they will be sharing some of their favorite items.

Every single spot I have picked (except two) are completely new to me, not very well investigated, and overall going to be a surprise when we arrive. My brother and husband are joining me on stops, as my drivers, and they have no idea where we are going either. I planned the whole thing. I tried to base stops more on hours driven vs location. This got me in trouble when I was very zoomed in and later realized my short drive to our next location was so short because it was through Canada. SO that is a whole other thing. This requires paperwork etc when traveling with pets, so I want to share that wonderful path with you. The two RV stops I did visit last year are on different spectrums. One is on the lower end with basic amenities and the other is a “posh” Hilton Head spot. How do they compare and what amenities do they have for our pets?
At each stop we will have a local movie night which became a tradition on the last RV trip. This basically means we try to find a movie filmed near the city or state we are visiting. I am also putting to use some very irresponsible spending that occurred in the past few months with a section called 👗 “Lottie Wore What?” I went through a rough spot over the summer and may have gotten carried away with outfits for my dog Lottie. Let’s just say she has a fabulous wardrobe which somehow fell heavy on sweaters and onesies.
I found putting these shirts on Lanna when she is anxious has really helped her out. Especially at night. If you guys have ever had an old dog, the doggy dementia is real. We do not like to speak that word around her, but things..they are a changing. They are both wearing outfits from “Little Beast“. I found them when googling clothes and they were the first company I went heavy on. They are pricey, and this is something I will not share with my husband because that would make him right.. I have a problem. . Luckily he probably won’t see this. I did notice they do have a local location and they make their own clothes which helps to contribute to cost. Lottie is in a rainbow onesie and Lanna is just in a normal turtleneck top. They have so many different colors it is hard to not get them all. Luckily she never grew out of these. So I like them a lot. I also like their carriers. They are these awesome bags, that honestly, have become both her carrier but also an overnight bag for me. Lots of pockets. Anyway. Of course I am not sponsored, I don’t care about that. When you have dogs as your family (I might have some issues lol) they end up getting the bulk of anything I make. I just love showing someone out there how f*ing cute these two are. Ugh. I want to eat them.

Tomorrow our first stop is KOA Lafayette Louisiana. I have no idea how this is going to go. I have never been to Lafayette, and KOA places are sort of hit or miss. Wish us luck! We push off at 10 AM. ✌🏻 Vanessa
